This is a functioning mockup projector I designed and built while at MicroDisplay, Inc. It was a mixture of optical layouts and aesthetics. We wanted to showcase our reflective display technology in a package that looked like a consumer product.

It could throw an image onto a screen using a camera lens, a display, and a high voltage projector lamp. It had a forced cooling system and the company logo on the front could be backlit with a smaller bulb.

This working mockup was used many times in meetings with investors and clients to demonstrate our capabilities with something sleeker than an optical table.
